TEAM NEWS: OYSAN Boys Compete at Disney 3v3

The weekend of January 14th, Westlake U12 boys Cory DuBois, Donovan DuBois, Patrick Smith and Olmsted Falls U12 boys Alex Politowski and Sean Zewadzki, playing as West Falls United, went to Disney World, after winning the Nationals in Cincinnati, and played in the Elite Invitational Division, the top level division of 3v3 competition in the country.

Teams in their bracket were from Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Illinois, Georgia, and New York. On Saturday they played two Florida teams and a New Jersey Team. They won all three games, beating the Florida Strikers 9-1, the Florida Fire 8-5 (who went on to place second overall) and the Quicksilver Barca, from New! Jersey 11-4. After a full day of soccer they found themselves the number one seeded team for our age group going into Sunday's games. Although Sunday's games didn't turn out the way they hoped, it was still a great experience!

OYSAN and GRIT® Establish Partnership

Richfield, Ohio. February 10, 2012: We are pleased to announce that Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN) and GRIT® have established a partner-sponsor relationship for the benefit of OYSAN members.

OYSAN and SportsGuard Laboratories Establish Partnership for State Cup Tournament

Richfield, Ohio. February 10, 2012: We are pleased to announce that Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN) and Sportsguard Laboratories, a custom mouthguard  manufacturer based in Ohio, have established a partner-sponsor relationship for the upcoming 2012 State Cup Tournament.

Hancock Soccer Association Awarded Grant

Richfield, Ohio. February 10, 2012: Ohio Youth Soccer Association North member, Hancock Soccer Association, was awarded a grant by the U.S. Soccer Federation. 

The U.S. Soccer Foundation, the Major Charitable Arm of Soccer in the United States announced on February 3, 2012 that it awarded sixty grants totaling $2.4 million to non-profit organizations such as Hancock Soccer, serving at-risk youth in twenty states. Through the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s 2012 Annual Grants program, the Foundation strives to continue its mission of enhancing and growing the sport of soccer as well as improving the well-being of children in underserved areas. Grant awards support the programming and equipment needs of non-profit organizations that provide children with the opportunity to play soccer and live a healthy lifestyle.
