Companies Get Fit, Help Cleveland Kids at the ‘SCORES Cup’

America SCORES Cleveland seeks corporate and community teams for soccer tourney and fundraiser benefiting youth program

Calling all Cleveland-area professionals and soccer enthusiasts, ages 18 and up. Join America SCORES Cleveland and participants from local companies for a day of friendly soccer competition on Saturday, March 10 at the 8^th annual America SCORES Cleveland SCORES Cup. The SCORES Cup is a day-long co-ed charity soccer tournament benefiting 450 Cleveland public school students participating in after-school soccer, poetry and service-learning programs.

Companies and teams participating in the SCORES Cup make a difference in their community while playing at least three competitive or recreational soccer games and networking with fellow Cleveland professionals. Team entry to one cup ($1,500/per cup) provides teams with event t-shirts, covers registration fees, and guarantees one Cleveland child an entire year of soccer and poetry programming.

WHEN:Saturday, March 10, 2012 AND Saturday, July 28, 2012; 9 am - 6:30 pm

Competitive Division: 8:30 am - 2:30 pm; Recreational Division: 1:00 - 7:30 pm

Team registration for the March 10^th Cup ends on Friday, February 24 at 5:00 pm. Teams interested in participating in only the July 28^th Cup should register by Friday, July 6.

OYSAN Sanctions Bowling Green Soccer Challenge

Richfield, Ohio . December 7, 2011: The Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN) has sanctioned the Bowling Green Spring Soccer Challenge to be held April 27- 29, 2012.  The event is hosted by Valentis Athletica Soccer Club and will be held at Bowling Green State University. Age groups range from Under 9 to Under 19 and offer both boys and girls divisions. Entry deadline for the tournament is March 25, 2012.

OYSAN has also sanctioned the Bowling Green Fall Soccer Challenge also hosted by Valentis Athletica. The event will take place August 25 – 26, 2012 for age groups U9 through U19. The entry deadline for this tournament is July 27, 2012.
