Richfield, Ohio. June 9, 2011: The annual State Cup Tournament hosted by Ohio Youth Soccer Association North has wrapped up its 2011 game schedule with winners being posted in all competing age groups from Under 10 (U10) to Under 19 (U19) for both boys and girls divisions.
State Cup winners in the U13 through U19 age brackets will advance to the Regional Tournament held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Opening ceremonies are at Lambeau Field, Home to the Packers, on June 24th, with tournament play starting June 25th, 2011.
The teams advancing on behalf of Ohio North are:
- U13 Boys – Pacesetter
- U13 Girls – Greater Toledo Futbol Club
- U14 Boys – Concordia
- U14 Girls – Internationals
- U15 Boys – Ambassadors
- U15 Girls – Internationals
- U16 Boys – Everest (Black)
- U16 Girls – Internationals
- U17 Boys – Cleveland Futbol Club
- U17 Girls – Internationals
- U18 Boys – Pacesetter
- U18 Girls – Cleveland Futbol Club
- U19 Girls – Cleveland Alliance Soccer (CASA)
- U19 Girls Wild card – Internationals
Congratulations are also in order for the younger athletes and their coaches and managers. Although U10, 11, and 12s do not advance to Regional play, their victories at State Cup are much to be proud of. The U10 winners were Whitecaps (Boys) and Cleveland Futbol Club Royal (Girls). U11 winners were Internationals (Boys) and Cleveland Futbol Club Royal (Girls). U12 winners included Team Challenger FC (Boys) and Cleveland Futbol Club (Girls).
Good luck to all of the athletes and team staff on their continued success at Regionals, where they will have the opportunity to compete for a coveted seat at Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona.
